This set of visits was solo. I miss my drinking partner, though.
The signs on the outside of the building had me thinking that this was a Karate studio. (At 45 mph, Karoke could be Karate, and the seahorses looked like kicking figures. The bar has a very nautical theme, a nice dining room and lower level with patio for parties/weddings. The bartender/manager also lives on the lower level. Sheila is really nice, they have pretty good Long Islands, too.
I went to She-Nanigans since they were hosting an event for my morning radio station, and I thought it would be neat to meet the morning hosts in person. They were both very nice. The event was sponsored by Bud Light, so needless to say, that is what I drank after the initial Long Island.
Saturday I had drinks with a work friend (he works for my place of employment as a contractor, not as a staff member). We went to Shang Hai Bistro. As it sounds, it is a Japanese food place. He drank sake, I stayed with Long Islands….they do not have Leine’s. There is a terrace out back which has a pretty decent view. Saturday there was jazz starting at about 6:30 pm which was fun.
