What is there to say about Applebees. It is a chain. It is predictable. I guess that I’d choose (actually I have chosen) a chain like this when on the road, and nothing else is clearly available which is often true near the budget motels.
Stella Blues, on the other hand, is a local classic. It is in a re-habbed building, and is a full scale restaurant. It has a nice bar. We were there early evening, got a drink from the bar, and headed out to the patio to sit. We did get a couple of appetizers. It was very pleasant.
